Ular taʼkidlash uchun ham kerak — «oʻzim, oʻzi»: She made the cake herself. — Tortni u oʻzi pishirdi. by myself esa «yolgʻiz, hech kimning yordamisiz» degani: I live by myself.

Oʻzbek tili bilan farqi
Oʻzbek tilida bitta «oʻz» soʻzi egalik qoʻshimchasi bilan oʻzgaradi: oʻzim, oʻzing, oʻzi, oʻzimiz. Ingliz tilida esa har bir shaxs uchun alohida soʻz bor: myself, yourself, himself, ourselves. Bundan tashqari, oʻzbekchada «yuvindi, kiyindi» kabi feʼllar -n- qoʻshimchasi bilan yasaladi, inglizchada esa ular olmoshsiz: I washed, I got dressed. «Oʻzimni yaxshi his qilyapman» iborasini soʻzma-soʻz tarjima qilmang: I feel good, I feel myself good emas.
Eslatmalar
- Koʻp feʼllar ingliz tilida odatda olmoshsiz ishlatiladi: wash, get dressed, shave, relax, feel, meet, concentrate. I feel tired (I feel myself tired emas), We met at six.
- themselves va each other farq qiladi: They looked at themselves — har biri oʻziga qaradi. They looked at each other — ular bir-biriga qarashdi.
- Joy predloglaridan keyin odatda oddiy olmosh ishlatiladi: She put her bag next to her. I have no money on me.
- Foydali iboralar: Help yourself! (Oling, marhamat!), Make yourself at home. (Oʻzingizni uyingizdagidek his qiling.), Enjoy yourselves!

She made the cake herself. I live by myself.
«Чувствовать себя» — просто feel: I feel tired. А «друг друга» — это each other, а не themselves.
