Guruhning qancha qismi haqida gapirganda: hammasi, koʻpchiligi, baʼzisi, hech biri, har biri. B1

Umuman odamlar yoki narsalar haqida gapirsak, ular toʻgʻridan-toʻgʻri otdan oldin keladi: Most teenagers like music. Aniq guruh haqida gapirsak (the, my, these yoki olmosh bilan), of qoʻshiladi: Most of my friends like music, some of us, none of them.

Oʻzbek tili bilan farqi
Qiyini: oʻzbek tilida «odamlarning koʻpi» umumiy ham, aniq ham boʻlishi mumkin, inglizchada esa farq bor: most people (umuman) va most of the people (aniq guruh). «Hech birimiz bilmasdik» — oʻzbekchada ikki inkor, inglizchada bitta: None of us knew. «Hamma» koʻplik maʼnosida boʻlsa ham everyone birlikdagi feʼl oladi: Everyone is ready.
Eslatmalar
- the yoki my oldidan all of iborasidagi of tushib qolishi mumkin: all (of) the students. Olmosh oldidan esa of shart: all of us yoki we all.
- most oldidan the qoʻyilmaydi: Most people (umuman), most of the people (aniq). The most people va most of people — notoʻgʻri.
- each of + koʻplikdagi ot + birlikdagi feʼl: Each of the rooms has a TV. none of + koʻplikdagi ot bilan rasmiy uslubda birlik (is), oddiy nutqda koʻplik (are) ham toʻgʻri.
- everyone, everybody, everything — maʼnosi koʻplik, lekin feʼl birlikda: Everyone is here.

По-русски: all, most, some, none, each, every: слова количества
Когда говорим о конкретной группе (с the, my, these или местоимением), добавляется of: Most of my friends like music, some of us, none of them.
each и every — «каждый». Every student has a book. every смотрит на группу в целом (все), а each — на каждого по отдельности. none уже содержит отрицание, поэтому глагол утвердительный: None of them came.
Трудности: «большинство людей» по-английски most people, а не most of people или the most people; of нужно только для конкретной группы: most of the people in my class. «Никто из нас не знал» — в русском двойное отрицание, в английском одно: None of us knew. «Все готовы» — во множественном числе, а Everyone is ready — в единственном.
