Oʻzbek tili bilan farqi
Oʻzbek tilida yoʻnalish kelishik qoʻshimchalari (-ga, -dan) va koʻmakchilar (boʻylab, orqali) bilan, koʻpincha esa feʼlning oʻzi bilan aytiladi: kirmoq, chiqmoq, oʻtmoq. Eng katta qiyinchilik — -dan: u from, out of, through, across va past maʼnolarini beradi. «Derazadan qaradi» — looked out of the window, «koʻprikdan oʻtdi» — walked across the bridge, «tunneldan oʻtdi» — went through the tunnel. Shuning uchun «looked from the window» kabi xatolar koʻp. Soʻz tartibi ham farq qiladi: «xonaga kirdi» — avval joy, keyin feʼl; inglizchada feʼl + predlog + joy.

По-русски: Предлоги движения
Чтобы сказать, куда и как кто-то движется: into, out of, across, along, through…
Предлоги движения показывают направление: куда, откуда, через что. «Вошёл в комнату», «перебежал дорогу», «шёл вдоль реки» — в английском это глагол + предлог: walk into the room, run across the road, walk along the river.
Главные пары: into (внутрь) — out of (изнутри наружу); onto (на поверхность) — off (с поверхности); up (вверх) — down (вниз); to (к, в — к цели) — from (из, от). А также: across (через, на другую сторону), along (вдоль, по), through (сквозь, через что-то внутри), over (через верх, над), under (под), past (мимо), around (вокруг, по).
В английском глагол обычно простой, а всё направление несёт предлог: walk into, walk out of, walk across, walk past. Трудности: русское «в» обозначает и место, и направление (в комнате / в комнату), поэтому путают in и into; «через» — это across, through или over в зависимости от ситуации; «по» — это along или around: «гулять по городу» = walk around the city, а не «walk on the city».
